Using and Installing Pro-Tec  Article Details :
Please let me know if something needs clarification.
Precision RC Products New Pro-Tec is a heat resistant (to about 425oF) braided plastic that easily expands to several times it collapsed size to accommodate many sizes of lines and wires. It is like "Chinese Handcuffs". It will easily fit over servo lead ends and both ends of  extensions, as well a several wires bundled together. It can be used to protect wires, fuel lines, air lines, etc. from chafe through. The unique feature of Precision RC Products Pro-Tec is the heat activated self adhesive sleeve material included in each pkg. This self adhesive sleeve material keeps the ends of the braided Pro-Tec from fraying, unraveling etc. and gives your installation a very clean and neat finished look

Along with the 6 feet of braided Pro-Tec outer, each package contains approximately 1 foot of a self sealing shrinking sleeve material. This is cut into narrow "Sleeve Bands" usually 1/2 inch(12mm) or less width. The sleeve bands are used to contain the ends of the braided outer sleeve material after it is installed over the wire, fuel line or air line. A modelers heat gun is the preferred method of shrinking the sleeve bands. Open flame can melt the braided material if used to shrink the sleeve bands.
